On behalf of our client in the Oil amp; Gas Sector, we are currently recruiting for the position of Commercial Director (Sales Director) for one of our clients in the oil and energy industry. As the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for leading and developing the commercial strategy of the organization to drive revenue growth and profitability. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and managing high-performance sales teams, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of the oil and gas market in Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the commercial strategy to optimize revenue growth and profitability
• Build, lead, and manage a high-performance sales team to meet and exceed targets
• Manage sales budgets and forecasting processes
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, particularly in emerging markets
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners
• Provide regular performance updates to the executive team and board of directors
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• Proven track record of at least 15 years in sales leadership roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry
• Strong understanding of the oil and gas market in Nigeria
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Ability to motivate and manage a sales team to achieve targets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful commercial strategies
