As the Deputy Manager (Process Safety amp; ISO) at Dangote Group, you will play a key role in ensuring process safety and compliance with ISO standards within the organization. You will be responsible for coordinating all process safety activities and driving the implementation of ISO management systems. Additionally, you will work closely with regulatory agencies and provide training and guidance to staff. Tasks amp; Responsibilities:
1. Identify and manage potential hazards associated with industrial operations with a focus on preventing catastrophic accidents and minimizing risks.
2. Ensure that all the Integrated Management System ( ISO9001, 14001 amp; 45001) processes are established, implemented, and maintained.
3. ·Develop and execute process safety programs
4. ·Conduct process hazard analysis
5. ·Identify and evaluate process safety concerns
6. ·Recommend and implement corrective actions
7. ·Provide technical support to operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations
8. ·Conduct investigations of accidents, process incidents and near miss events
9. ·Facilitate and participate in process hazard analysis (PHA) studies
10. ·Ensure proper execution and documentation of MOC process
11. ·Interface with plant management, operations, and engineering
12. ·Provide training to employees on safety procedures and regulations
Requirements
1. Minimum of 7 years of experience of working in chemical process industry as a process safety engineer.
2. ·Knowledge of OSHA regulations
3. ·Ability to identify and assess hazards
4. ·Ability to integrate safety requirements into the decision-making process
5. ·Familiarity with process safety engineering software
6. ·Strong communication and organizational skills
7. ·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
8. ·Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Safety Engineering.
9. ·Certification in Process Safety Management (PSM) preferred
10. ·Certified lead auditor for ISO14001, ISO9001 amp; ISO 45001 preferred
11. ·Knowledge on ISO systems and documentation.
