Position: Field Worker
Contract: 1-year renewable contract Location: Ibadan
DUTIES:
· Carry out black Sigatoka, weevil and nematode field sampling, sample processing and data collection.
· Assist with maintenance of pathology checks in trials in the laboratory, screen house and field.
· Assist with planting materials propagation for pest and disease evaluation trials.
· Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION:
O’level with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
COMPETENCIES:
The ideal candidate must:
• Have experience in field data collection, field and screen house trails and the planting materials propagation.
• Have good communication skills (writing, reading, and speaking).
• Have the ability to use basic Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Have excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills and work under pressure to meet deadlines with keen attention to detail.
• Be trustworthy and diligent to work with little or no supervision.
Have a positive attitude and strong team spirit.
