Job Description

  • The role will provide leadership, management, and vision to ensure that the company delivers exceptional operational outcomes to meet agreed upon growth objectives.
  • They will also be responsible for managing all aspects of profitable delivery and quality execution of projects, cost effective management of business operations, market engagement, identification of business opportunities and effective client relationship management
  • Oversee the corporate operations of the company which includes developing and managing the organization’s current business, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all new projects are well researched and exhaustive consultation and involvement of all the stakeholders is undertaken in order to ensure quality products/services and profitable sales
  • Contribute to the development of new services and business ventures to drive revenue growth, profit and build market share
  • Ensure that all joint ventures projects are well developed and executed profitably and in safe working conditions
  • Ensure strategic objectives shaped at Executive Management level are translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress.
  • Coordinate development of operating and capital budgets according to the budget calendar, monitor monthly financial statements and take corrective action as required
  • Create a customer focused culture and collaborate across the organization to ensure internal and external constituent needs are met
  • Provide general oversight of all company’s activities, manage the day-to-day operations, and assure a smoothly functioning, efficient company.
  • Provide management and oversight of primary business lines, which include Operations, HR, Marketing, Business Development, Legal and Accounting.
  • Assure project quality and organizational stability through the development and implementation of standards and controls, systems, procedures, and regular evaluation of methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture, Urban and Planning or Business Management
  • Master’s degree in any of the above fields or MBA would be desirable.
  • Previous operations management experience is essential
  • At least eight progressive years in the construction or real estate industry with a minimum of four years in a similar role.
  • Extensive executive level leadership experience and knowledge of the construction industry, including compliance requirements.
  • Thorough business understanding of the construction industry.
  • Strong experience in planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent leadership skills, business acumen and ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team
  • Executive-level communication and influencing skills with the ability to resolve issues, build consensus among groups of diverse internal/external stakeholders, and have proven skill in negotiating and mediating conflict
