The Nigeria Football Federation "NFF" seeks to hire a Chief Compliance Officer who will direct the formulation of strategic compliance planning in support of the Federation's vision, mission and values
The high-level compliance officer will provide leadership, direction, and integration of compliance activities, and be responsible for ensuring effective policies and procedures are in place to mitigate legal, financial and reputational risks for the Nigeria Football Federation. The role will be involved in promoting a corporate culture where staff meet the NFF’s core values, acting with integrity and following the highest ethical standards and regulation of CAF and FIFA. He/She must be well-versed in the legal guidelines and Football governance best practices while keeping in mind the objectives of the NFF
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
- Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
- Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
- Collaborate with corporate counsels, Audit partners, and Compliance departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
- Assess the Federation’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the Federation as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
Requirements
- Minimum of Seven (7) years proven experience as a compliance manager
- In-depth knowledge of the CAF and FIFA standards and regulations
- A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
- Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
- An analytical mind able to see the complexities of procedures and regulations
- BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or related field
- Certified compliance professional is a plus
- Proven knowledge and passion for the game of football in Nigeria
