Job Description
At Mevron, the Operations Supervisor will have a direct influence on the city in which you operate. You will be directly responsible for helping to optimize Driver relationships to ensure a quality experience for Passengers and Drivers alike.
This role is critical as it seeks to improve the Rider experience through more Drivers, better vehicles, and helping to minimize the cost and make the process as smooth as possible for each Passenger.
The Operations Supervisor will possess a unique combination of analytical and critical thinking skills as well as exceptional communication to build and manage relationships in a positive and meaningful way.
The ideal candidate will work with a significant amount of data to monitor Driver behavior and improve the supply-chain management relationship. The Operations Supervisor will be directly responsible for ensuring that Mevron has adequate Drivers available, ready to serve when and where needed at all times.
The Operations Supervisor will be based in Benin City, Nigeria and will be directly responsible for all Mevron Benin operations, including but not limited to:
- Optimizing the entire process. This means looking at the big picture, breaking down various data, and developing actionable steps to work with various teams and bring them to fruition.
- Analyzing significant Driver and Rider data to understand behavior, preferences, and areas of improvement. This might include during the sign-up process, incentive programs, and even driver communication skills.
- Helping to improve the Mevron platform. You will seek out various bugs or other problems with the app, identify potential new features that could improve the experience for both Drivers and Riders, and forward that information to executive leadership.
- Providing exceptional Driver support. This will include helping to manage everyday challenges and problems Drivers may face while offering ride-sharing services to Passengers.
- Building relations, not just among drivers, but also for local businesses, politicians, regulatory leaders, and Passengers.
- Taking the initiative and being responsible for Mevron’s growth in your City. In short, the ideal candidate will be willing to do whatever necessary, within the bounds of the law and physical, mental, and emotional ability, to get the job done.
Requirements
- At least five years of business management experience in a potentially frenetic and fast-paced environment. Candidates who have startup experience have a clear leg up and those who have worked in investment banking, management consulting, or other operations capacities are also preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills and direct leadership experience managing a team.
- The ability to analyze data and make critical yet sound decisions using good business judgment.
- The entrepreneurial spirit, being willing to work hard and be dedicated to Mevron’s short and long-term goals because it’s a passion that you share.
